England Rugby: Ryan Lamb and Koree Britton suspensions

Ryan Lamb (Leicester Tigers) and Koree Britton (Gloucester Rugby) have been suspended following their sendings off in the Aviva ‘A’ League match between the sides on September 30 at an RFU Disciplinary Hearing last night.

Lamb was dismissed for striking an opponent contrary to law 10.4(a) and suspended for one week. He is free to play again on October 8.

Britton was dismissed for striking an opponent contrary to law 10.4(a) and suspended for four weeks. He is free to play again on October 29.

The cases were head by Sir James Dingemans (chair), Jeremy Summers and Dr Julian Morris at the London Bloomsbury Holiday Inn.

Lamb pleaded guilty to the charge and the panel judged that the entry point for sanction was a low-end one (two weeks) before mitigation.

Britton contested the charge but was found guilty and the panel judged that the entry point for sanction was a mid-range one (five weeks) before mitigation.

About Dave

I totally love sport. Rugby, cricket and soccer, but my first love will always be rugby. Other than sport I write my own poems and other interestings articles. I also love cooking. A man of many talents. When it come to Cricket I'm a Cape Cobras, Kolkata Knight Riders and Proteas supporter. Soccer there is only one team and that is Man United and Germany internationally. Other than that I'm a loving father and husband.
