Edinburgh Rugby are delighted to announce a five-figure partnership with carbon-neutral taxi firm City Cabs.
The new deal will also provide a practical significance for the club’s fans who will benefit from the services of the city’s largest co-operative fleet of licensed hackney taxis.
Edinburgh Rugby season ticket members will receive a £1 discount off the cost of every journey booked using the City Cabs app, which is free to download for apple products and android smart phones.
Managing director, David Davies, said: “I’m delighted to welcome such a prominent, local brand as City Cabs to the suite of Edinburgh Rugby partners.
“This is an exciting time for the club as we begin our campaigns in two of the best rugby competitions in world rugby.
“This latest deal underlines that the club is an exciting prospect for commercial interest and investment and we look forward to working closely with the company to maximise the mutual benefits of this relationship.”
Boasting a fleet of 420 vehicles, City Cabs have been in existence for over 85 years, providing a fast, reliable and safe service for the capital.
Speaking of the new partnership, City Cabs sales manager, Monika Surma, added: “Murrayfield Stadium is the place to get your weekend started and, with one of the best bars in European rugby at the fans’ disposal, we’re always on hand to take them safely home or to their next social calling.
“We’re delighted to offer a reduced rate for the club’s season ticket members and mark the beginning of what we hope will be a long-standing and successful relationship with Edinburgh Rugby.”
