Nick Wood suspended for eight weeks

NiCK WOOD (Gloucester Rugby) was tonight suspended for eight weeks by an RFU Disciplinary Panel following his sending-off for stamping on Jacques Burger (Saracens) in last weekend’s Aviva Premiership match between the teams.

Wood is suspended from September 18 until November 12 and free to play again the following day.

The case was heard at the Bristol Filton Holiday Inn by a panel of Christopher Quinlan QC, Mike Curling and John Doubleday.
