Leopards selects Buys at flyhalf for Griffons clash

Jarryd Buys will start at flyhalf for the Leopards in their clash against the Griffons at Profert Olënpark, Potchefstroom on Friday afternoon.

This comes due to the injury to Gerhard Nortier that will see him out for the rest of the season. Buys will be the third flyhalf that the Leopards use since the First Division kicked off.

Adriaan Engelbrecht and George Tossel will swap places in the midfield. BG Uys will return after being cleared to play. He had a hip injury.

Lions-lock, Stephan Greef did enough last week against the Pumas to see him retain his position in the team. Greef is on loan from the Lions.

Brendon Snyman and Morne Hanekom, will start from the bench. They both suffered fractured hands earlier in the season but have been declared fit. They will be joined by Jacques Vermaak and SW Oosthuizen on the bench.

Leopards team: Danie Dames; Luther Obi, Adriaan Engelbrecht, George Tossel, Edmar Marais; Jarryd Buys, Johann Laker; SJ Niemand, Robert Kruger, Philip de Wet, Stephan Greeff, MB Lusaseni, Elardus Venter, Edgar Marutlulle, BG Uys. Replacements: Jacques Vermaak, Johan Smith, Stephan Bezuidenhout, Brendon Snyman, Morné Hanekom, Tiaan Dorfling, SW Oosthuizen
