RFU Disciplinary: Jordan Smiler suspension

Jordan Smiler (ACT Brumbies) has been suspended for six weeks after being sent off for a tip tackle on an opponent in today’s World Club 7s Cup Quarter-Final against VVA Saracens Moscow Region.

Smiler has been charged with the offence contrary to law 10.4(j) after receiving a red card from match referee, Ian Tempest.

The suspension comes into effect immediately, ruling Smiler out for the remainder of the tournament.

The case was heard by RFU Disciplinary Officer, Jeremy Summers, at Twickenham.
