Minnie to captain Lions, Jantjies on bench

MTN Golden Lions coach, Johan Ackermann has named his team for their opening ABSA Currie Cup fixture against the Toyota Free State Cheetahs this Saturday at Ellis Park in Johannesburg.

The team sees a couple of changes to the MTN Lions side that lost 23-18 to the Southern Kings in the Vodacom Super Rugby promotion/relegation game.

Marnitz Boshoff starts in place of Elton Jantjies who moves to the bench. Jacques van Rooyen replaces JC janse van Rensburg who has move to France.

The Lions will look to start the season with the momentum and confidence they have gained after being promoted to the 2014 Super Rugby.
