Sharks has nothing to lose against Blues

Saturday at 14:50 the sharks will host the Blues at Kingspark in Durban. The visitors have a lot more to lose than the hosts.

The Sharks will be under a new coaching staff and have most of their key players back. The only area where there is concern is at centre. We will have to wait and see who will play in this position. Will it be Pat lambie or Butch James in the 12 jersey? My pick would be James as he has much more experience in this position. The Sharks will probably have free reign to play their natural game.

The Blues are looking to win this game and keep in touch with the Chiefs at the top of the NZ conference. A loss can see them losing momentum and even fall out of the top 6, depending on their next two games. This all while the Sharks are happy to just play and win with no pressure really on them. They can only make it into the top 6 on a very slim mathematical chance.

Expect to see some adventurous rugby by the Sharks, while the Blues will look to play more structured at first. They will want to secure the win before they open up the game. Still this will be a game well worth watching.

Prediction: I’m going with the sharks. When you have nothing to lose, you will probably win it will be a close game none the less.
